What are the relative regulations for inbound passengers to carry tobacco or liquor into Taiwan?

1.  Inbound passengers aged 20 or over  are allowed to  bring in alcoholic beverages (1,000 cc regardless of the quantity of bottles), plus 200 cigarettes, or 25 cigars or 1 pound of tobacco duty-free.

 

2.  If inbound passengers carry more than alcoholic beverage, plus 1,000 cigarettes, or 125 cigars or 5 pound of tobacco,  an import license is  required for declaration. Effective January 1, 2013, inbound passengers carrying cigarettes and alcoholic bereges over the quantity of personal duty exemption without declaration shall be subject to a fine and confiscation of the above items, according to the Tobacco and Alcoholic Administration Act.

 

3.  The tobacco or liquor brought in by passengers can only be for personal use.
